INVITATION FOR MEDIA COVERAGE
WHAT:
The Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine is a proud sponsor of a community symposium put on by Communities in Action to improve children’s mental health and well-being. The event is designed to raise public awareness by helping the community further understand the behavioral and mental health challenges facing children and young adults today. And, why recognizing and addressing early childhood mental health issues is a community concern. Learn more about the symposium here:http://letstartearly.org.
WHEN:
Saturday, October 5 from 8:00am to 3:45pm
WHERE:
Bowdoin College in Brunswick
Directions:
From the south: Take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 52 (formerly Exit 9; 295 to Coastal Route 1). Continue on 295 to Exit 28 (formerly Exit 22; Route 1 North: Coastal Route, Brunswick/Bath).
From the north via the Maine Turnpike: Take Exit 103 (formerly Exit 14), then I-295 to Exit 28 (formerly Exit 22; Topsham-Brunswick, Route 1 North).
WHY:
Lunder-Dineen will be filming the keynote sessions at the event to make them available online and on-demand for those who were unable to attended the event in person. The ease-of-access to these educational opportunities is a big benefit for smaller hospitals and healthcare practices, particularly in rural areas, that may not have the funding to send their staff to training off site, as well as busy practitioners who cannot take time away from patient care to attend conferences and workshops.
